We are a small, yet diverse and collaborative team (approx. 24 staff) who support each other, and care deeply about the well-being of Aucklanders and their families.  

 

We have two Auckland counselling centers in Central Auckland (Eden Terrace) and North Shore (Northcote) that offer short to medium-term counselling services.

Our team consists of approximately 24 staff members who deeply care about the well-being of Aucklanders and their whānau/families.

 

We operate two counselling centres in Tamaki Makaurau: one in Central Auckland (Eden Terrace) and the other on the North Shore (Northcote), offering short to medium-term counselling services. Kaiwhakahaere Tari - Office + Administration Manager

 

As the Office & Administration Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Wingspan Trust's overarching goal. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Reception and Administration Services: Manage the admin team, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for visitors and clients.
  • Support to Chief Executive: Assist the Chief Executive with administrative tasks, scheduling, and communication.
  • Office Functions: Oversee all office functions, including supplies, equipment, IT (via external support), and maintenance.
  • Payroll and IRD Compliance: Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax regulations (via iPayroll software and support).
  • Financial Systems Management: Handle financial processes, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting (to Trial Balance stage in Xero). Lead year-end audit and complete bank payments and reconciliations.
  • Direct Reports: Lead a team of four direct reports, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Multi-Site Management: Coordinate administration operations across our two counselling centres.

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in office management, administration, or related field.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (Xero) and payroll processes including IRD compliance (Payroll).
  • Intermediate level capability with MS Suite.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Counsellor - Central Auckland (3 days/22.5 hours per week)

We're looking for an experienced counsellor to work from our Auckland Central center based in modern offices in Eden Terrace. This is a 3-day position, 22.5 hours per week, including Saturday.

 

The ideal applicant will work from a systemic perspective and be able to work with Whānau/families, couples, rangatahi/children/youth & individuals.

The successful applicant will have - 

  • Counselling qualification or other relevant/appropriate qualification
  • Professional membership
  • Proven experience working with Whānau/families and Couples
  • Skilled at assessing risk and safety
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written
  • Commitment to completing all administrative requirements to a high standard
  • Savvy computer skills (MS Office, SharePoint, managing files, experience with client database management)
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a supportive team member
